@CaptainN64 “This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.” -Dalai Lama. I must say I love your reference :) And I think many of us appreciate your insight into religion as a whole. I am a religion major, and I find so many religions to be similar, though some can be more ambiguous than others. Sending Positive Energy your way. Blesséd Be )O(

  3. After all, as the Dalai Lama said: “The very purpose of religion is to control yourself, not to criticize others. Rather, we must criticize ourselves.”

  4. As a Christian priest, I find much beauty and mystery in Wicca – the Wiccan idea of morality (“an ye harm none, do as ye will”) is admittedly quite a bit less vague than Biblical verse, and I cannot see any ill in a religion that worships one great power and preaches peaceful coexistence. I see no reason why our two religions should ever clash… Though sadly they have, for as long as they have existed. God be with you – or, as you say it: “Blessed be”.

  5. Isis, Astarte, Diana, Hecate, Demeter, Kali, Innanna

  11. @flameboy1236 HERE!!! and please with this let us stop this nonsense. thank you musicedmajor for this message. “included in the first amendment with freedom of speech is freedom of religion. Freedom to worship and believe as you please. So, “flameboy1236″ if you’re going to claim rights, respect the rights of others and bugger off. “

  12. @musicedmajor Yes! thank you! that is what I was trying to say. I couldn’t have said it better

  13. Does anyone happen to know where I can find the words to this? Please and thank you <3

  14. included in the first amendment with freedom of speech is freedom of religion. Freedom to worship and believe as you please. So, “flameboy1236″ if you’re going to claim rights, respect the rights of others and bugger off.

  15. Jesus was brought up and educated in Egypt. He learnt many of his ideas about the one god, from the ideas of the heritic king Akhenaten. Akhenanten believed in the one sungod the Atem. and wanted no other gods worshiped in Egypt. The people soon rebelled against this and chose to have their real gods back in their lives, with the comfort and power to it gave them. Jesus borrowed and adapted his message from many cultures and ideas.

Hail Isis goddess of many names

  16. Sound like you don’t know what christianity is. Church does not make us christian., we are the church.

  17. That’s a catholic church, catholicism and christianity are different.

  18. @musicedmajor and man is flawed. After dealing with people like you for my ENTIRE life, I’ve decided that I do not want to claim Christianity. People like you have tainted the idea of God. I agree with chevymonster203. We all celebrate the same idea. Just in different ways. It becomes wrong when you start imposing your beliefs on others though. Just as you have freedom of speech, look it up. There’s the freedom to worship as you please.

  19. @agher1 seconded ^_^

  20. @flameboy1236 Actually you’re wrong again. Christianity does have a good deal of traditions. I graduated from a christian high school and went on to a christian college. my mother is a christian pastor and I attended a few of her seminary classes with her. There are traditions. Communion for one and going to church. Saying the Lord’s Prayer. The Apostle’s Creed… need I go on? However, the bible is flawed. It is “the word of God spoken through man” which means it’s still man’s interpretation.

  21. this is beautiful and gets stuck in your head very easily ^_^

  22. A relationship with God, we don’t do traditions and stuff like that. :>

  23. I think it’s beautiful.

  24. @flameboy1236 According to your opinion, what is christianity??

i wish every one would just let everyone else be. be tolerent of religions and such. that means religions that arent the major biggies too. like, yes, pagans. im not saying anyones in the wrong, just if someone is saying something they’d probably never say to your face, ignore them.
