Are all types of magic generalized as wicca?

I've just started magic, and later heard from a friend that all magic is a type of wicca, which goes against my religion: Christianity. I would like to know if this is true or not? And I would like to hear from someone who actually knows what they're talking about, not someone who will tell me "magic isn't real" and all of that.

wicca are against magic even more than christians from all of the wicca books that i have read. if you want real magic read the Satanic Bible, it is reality
My boyfriend says anyone practising magic is going against God. I forgot the reason why he said that .. but yeah.
I have always wanted to be a witch (stupid Charmed lol) but he forbids me too T_T Coz he’s Christian.
*face palm*
No, all magic isn’t Wiccan! They person who told you that doesn’t know their butt from a hole in the ground.
Wicca is a religion, some Wiccans practice magic others do not Various forms of magic have been practiced in all religions, including Christianity.
The true concept of magic is about empowering yourself. Don’t ask for a love spell without making yourself a better person, Don’t preform a prosperity spell without pursuing a better job. The concept of magic is the search for hidden knowledge within, & this would be against christianity, because christianity contends it has all the answers.

Hi there..well first of all you are asking is magic real and does it have any thing to do with Wicca…Witchcraft is very real in this modern day and age and Wicca-Magic-mediums and all that is a part of witchcraft remember something here these practices are no good unless there is some kind of spiritual force behind them other wise people won’t practice them am i right?..Witchcraft is simply a quest for spiritual power and Wicca is one aspect of Witchcraft..Demonic power is very real in this world we live and witchcraft thrives on Demonic power God does not give man spiritual power to make money or hurt someone or to posses them..If its not spiritual Godly its not of God which is demonic…
Magic goes against mainstream Christian belief.
The cultural institution of Christianity does not support magic and believes it is of the devil. Not all Christians buy into that dogma, and some (not many) choose to practice magic against church teaching. This is technically heretical.
Christians who practice magic do not view themselves as heretics, of course. Many find it enhances their faith.
Wicca is another type of faith, and it is tolerant of magic. Not all Wiccans choose to practice magic, and not all magicians are Wiccan.
Magic is a system, not a religion. It requires belief in yourself, not a certain higher power.
Wicca is just one of many faiths that embrace Magic.
You can be both a Wiccan and a witch, these two words are not the same. None of these words has anything to do with devil worship.
One of the biggest sore points among Wiccans is the improper usage of the terms “Wiccan” and “Witch”. Too many people use the terms interchangeably, presuming that they both mean the same thing. They do not.
Wiccan
Wicca is a religion, and someone who follows that religion is called a Wiccan. Sometimes it can be difficult to accurately define Wicca, and not all Wiccans will define themselves the same way. Observing the 8 Wiccan Sabbats, honoring the Gods and/or Goddesses, creating sacred space for rituals, to name a few. Many traditional Wiccans also feel that belonging to a coven is also a requirement and that those who practice their religion as a solitary, should not refer to themselves as Wiccan. Personally, I’m still not sure on that point. Typical Wiccans also practice magick, and therefore are also witches. You cannot be a “natural Wiccan” any more than you could be a “natural Christian”.
Witch
The practice of witchcraft is not associated with any religion, therefore you can be a witch and yet also be a member of any number of religions (or none). Using the natural energies within yourself, along with the energies of herbs, stones or other elements to make changes around you is considered witchcraft. Though the skills and gifts that are part of witchcraft can be inherited from parents or grandparents, you aren’t automatically a witch just because your grandmother may have been one. The use of magick takes practice, experience and learning. On a side note, a male witch is called a witch, not a warlock.
Pagan
While I’m explaining terminology, I thought I would throw in “Pagan” as well. Paganism refers to a variety of non-Christian/Jewish/ Islamic religions that are usually polytheistic and are often nature-based. Wicca is only one Pagan religion, but there are others such as Santeria, Asatru, or Shamanism. Many people do not necessarily identify with a specific religion, and just use the broad term “Pagan” to define their spiritual path. Pagan religions are distinct and separate from each other, and it should not be assumed that they are just different names for the same faith.
